The company offers an extensive range of premium brands, including Rolex, Cartier, Omega, Breitling, Patek Philippe, and many others. Known for expertise in buying, selling, and valuing high-end timepieces, BQ Watches provides trusted services to individuals seeking to trade or appraise their watches. In addition to trading, the company specializes in full watch repair services, servicing, complete overhauls, refurbishing, dial changes, and the supply and fitting of diamond dials and bezels. Team members work alongside experienced professionals with deep knowledge of luxury watch brands and craftsmanship.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Radlett for Watchmakers and Technicians. The role involves servicing, repairing, and overhauling a wide variety of luxury watches to manufacturer or industry standards. Daily tasks include diagnosing mechanical and quartz movement issues, performing precise adjustments, replacing parts, and ensuring accurate timekeeping and functionality. The position also includes refurbishing cases and bracelets, carrying out dial and bezel changes, and supporting quality control checks on completed work. Watchmakers and Technicians collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to provide technical insights, maintain detailed repair records, and uphold high standards of workmanship and safety in the workshop.

  • Strong technical skills in watch repair and servicing, including the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and quartz watch issues.
  • Experience working with luxury watches and clocks, with familiarity across multiple high-end brands and movements.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality control, ensuring all repairs and services meet established standards and customer expectations.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling delicate components, assembling movements, and testing performance.
  • Relevant watchmaking or horology training, certification, or apprenticeship (e.g., recognized horology school or equivalent on-the-job experience).
  • Ability to read technical documentation, service manuals, and specifications for various watch brands and models.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple repairs and meet agreed timelines.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a workshop environment.
  • Previous experience in a luxury watch service center or similar setting is highly beneficial.
