Water Maintenance Technician - Water Department

Job Description

Responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the proper operation and cleanliness of water systems, including water treatment plants, distribution systems, and other water-related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on water treatment equipment and distribution systems.
  • Inspect and repair water mains, valves, and hydrants.
  • Monitor water quality and conduct tests to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Operate and maintain pumps, filters, and other water treatment equipment.
  • Respond to water system emergencies and perform repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment inspections.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in water maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
