Role: Water Network Technician

Location: South Wales

Day rate: Competitive

Contract: 6 month contract


The Role

We are looking for a Water Network Technician to support the operation and performance of a regional water distribution network. The role focuses on maintaining service standards, resolving network issues, supporting customers, and driving continuous improvement across water quality, pressure, flow, and supply reliability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the safe and efficient operation of the water distribution network.
  • Investigate network performance issues and implement improvements.
  • Work closely with operational teams, analysts, and contractors to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Assist with incident response and emergency activities.
  • Support complaint investigations and identify root causes of recurring issues.
  • Participate in an emergency standby rota.

Requirements

  • Experience in water network operations, utilities, leakage, hydraulics, or a related field.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyse issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Relevant technical qualification or equivalent industry experience.
