Join a specialist engineering consultancy supporting the safe, efficient and sustainable operation of critical water infrastructure across London.

As Operations & Asset Management Manager, you will work closely with the client and wider delivery partners to manage operational performance, maintenance planning and the long-term stewardship of water assets. You will play a key role in improving reliability, managing risk and informing investment decisions across a complex asset base.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead operational and asset-management activity across water treatment, distribution and associated infrastructure.
  • Develop maintenance, inspection and renewal plans that balance asset performance, cost and risk.
  • Use asset condition, operational data and performance insight to prioritise investment and improvement programmes.
  • Monitor safety, environmental, regulatory and service performance.
  • Manage contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver work safely and effectively.
  • Support incident response, resilience planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Produce clear reports, recommendations and performance updates for senior stakeholders.

  • Experience within water, wastewater, utilities, infrastructure or another asset-intensive environment.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management, maintenance strategy, operational performance and risk management.
  • An engineering, technical or asset-management background; professional qualifications are advantageous.
  • Comfortable turning complex data and operational insight into practical decisions.
  • A collaborative, safety-focused communicator with strong stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience leading teams, projects, contractors and/or suppliers.
