About the Role
We’re transforming our Operational Control Centre and are looking for a Water Production Controller to join our diverse team. Controllers are the backbone of our water and wastewater services, ensuring a continuous supply of safe, high-quality drinking water to 1.2 million customers across a water-stressed region.
As a Water Production Controller, you’ll work in our Durrington office as part of a 24/7 team, monitoring telemetry systems, managing alarms, making network changes, and coordinating field teams to keep water flowing. This is a critical role where problem-solving, analytical thinking, and confidence with IT systems are key.

Shift Summary
- Average Weekly Hours: 28 hours per week
- Annual Leave: Built into your rotation
- Shift Pattern: 6-week cycle of 12-hour shifts
- Includes day and night rotations:
- 3 days on → 7 days off
- 4 days on → 7 days off
- 3 nights on → 7 days off
- 4 nights on → 7 days off

- Additional Duties: Some standby periods and extra cover may be required, which will be discussed during the interview.

Location Requirement
We’re looking for candidates who:
- Live within approximately one hour’s commute of our Durrington office, or
- Are willing to relocate if successful.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work proactively and use your own initiative
- Confidence with multiple IT systems and excellent communication skills

- Salary: Starting from £29,800 per year (depending on skills and experience)
- Shift Allowance: Additional 15% plus standby payments

Additional information:
