Water Safety Swim Instructor
Under general direction and supervision of the lesson coordinator, you will instruct swim lesson classes for ages ranging from infants to adults; including but not limited to, the Red Cross Learn to Swim program and other swim lesson programs.
Qualifications
Must be a currently certified as a Water Safety Instructor (WSI). Must be friendly, courteous, enthusiastic, and creative, with the desire to work with children and adults. If you are not currently a WSI, we are offering a WSI course April 4-6, 2025. Call the Recreation Center at 319-248-1750 for registration or more information.

Miscellaneous Information
- Spring lessons are offered Monday (evenings), Wednesday (evenings), and Saturday (mornings).
- Summer lessons are Monday-Friday (mornings), Tuesday/Thursday (evenings).
- Fall lessons are offered Monday (evenings), Wednesday (evenings), and Saturday/Sunday (mornings). If there is an Iowa home football game, classes are held Sunday mornings.
The ability to teach one or more of these classes is required.
