We are currently recruiting for a Water Treatment Plant Operative working within our Engineering Department at our fresh potato packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.
Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off - Rolling Shift Pattern
Hours of Work: 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs

Salary: £13.96 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Operate daily water treatment plant tasks including chemical dosing, pressing off, and level checking
- Maintain records of chemical usage and water quality readings accurately
- Coordinate with the Engineering Manager for ordering chemicals and supplies
- Assist maintenance engineers with planned and reactive plant maintenance activities
- Check all site fuel tanks daily and report levels
- Ensure the plant environment is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Carry out additional duties such as grass cutting using tractor-driven equipment as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in water treatment operations or related industrial/environmental roles preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and management
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual tasks as required
