Working alongside other volunteers, you will be part of an enthusiastic team who are dedicated to restoring the Wilts & Berks canal back to a fully functioning waterway.
What difference will you make?
As the Systems Director working closely with the CEO, you will help to establish strategic direction for the Trust’s systems and digital infrastructure, while providing leadership and coordination for the Systems Team.
What are we looking for?
- Leadership and management skills, ideally within an IT, systems or technology environment
- Experience of analysing business requirements and identifying practical technology solutions
- Understanding of information governance, cyber security and data protection principles
- Ability to lead and motivate capable volunteers
- Experience of managing suppliers and external service providers
- Personal computing facilities including reliable internet access

What will you be doing?
- Development of the Trust’s systems strategy and roadmap in collaboration with the CEO
- Overall management and leadership of the Systems Team
- Ensuring the effective operation, security and governance of the Trust’s IT systems and data
- Management of technology suppliers, contracts and support arrangements
- Keeping the CEO and fellow members of the Executive Board fully aware of systems developments, opportunities, risks and challenges
- Supporting the Trust’s growth by ensuring systems, processes and policies remain fit for purpose
