About the Role

Location: Homebased – With regular travel around the South West & Wales (You will need to be based within the region)

Contract Type: Permanent

As Wealth Management Consultant your role will be maximising new business opportunities for Quilter Investment Platform & Quilter Platform and promoting retention of existing asset under management. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering business results in a regional hub based in the West Midlands and surrounding areas.

You will be expected to create good customer outcomes by managing a panel of advisers and successfully influencing and supporting new & existing adviser firms to place volume new business into the Quilter Investment Platform proposition and driving support for Quilter Investment Solutions.

There will be annual sales targets as directed by sales management, you will achieve these targets by developing and using a strong knowledge of:

  • Quilter Investment Platform
  • Quilter Investors
  • The wider Quilter business (e.g. Quilter Cheviot & Quilter Financial Planning)
  • Multi Asset Solutions
  • Individual Tax Wrappers
  • Wide industry knowledge such as, regulatory drivers for adviser decision making, research and analytical tools & understanding of risk and performance measures.

You will use Business Planning to help independent advice firms achieve their business strategy, grow their business and understand market dynamics (i.e. competitors, new entrants, market movements) as well as detailed MI and Segmentation relating to panel.

Your panel will be extremely well known to you; you will build strong relationships and provide advice firms with solutions to meet their needs. You will fully understand the advice market landscape & develop relationships with new and existing panel firms to influence positive business placement and retention alongside undertaking seminar and workshop activity as required.

Internally you will deploy the specialist sales and the strategic partners team as required to achieve results. Leverage and strengthen key relationships with the Sales Support team and Operations Management to enhance efficiency, develop panel, service clients and remain competent in all aspects of the Quilter proposition, proactively leading efforts to deepen understanding where knowledge gaps exist.

Working in collaboration with sales support, operations and marketing you will proactively improve efficiencies and resolve problem areas as well as other key stakeholders in the business and develop a strong sense of team within global distribution and actively look for opportunities for cross collaboration within other parts of Quilter to realise opportunities across the business.

Additionally, you will work compliantly in all aspects of the role, identify any risks that will impact upon our business and will ensure Sales force is maintained and updated with the latest client information which includes reviewable and living account plans.

Continued focus on both personal and professional development is a must.


About You

  • Proven experience in a sales consultant role or similar, with a focus on distributing investment products.
  • Minimum of QCF Level 4 qualification.
  • Demonstrates strong delivery focus, high energy and drive.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Skilled in using questioning techniques to fully understand advice firms needs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate, build relationships and influence decision makers.
  • Skilled in navigating complex environments and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Shows credibility, professionalism and strong personal integrity.
  • Brings a growth mindset and openness to learning opportunities.
  • Values mentoring and collaborative development.
