About the Role
Level: 4
Department: Sales
Location: Southampton
Contract: Permanent
The successful candidate will support key market initiatives to generate growth, in addition to driving your own activity, as agreed with the Head of Sales, to develop new accounts. The Prospect and Engagement role will also be supporting the work of the business development team where applicable.
Success will be measured by the identification and delivery of new quality platform supporters; through active engagement with firms that do not currently align with Quilter's Investment platform. This will include contacting advice firms that had little to no contact with Quilter and enhancing existing relationships with adviser firms. In addition to this, you will be expected to identify opportunities and promote our leading In-house Investment Solution ‘Wealth Select’ on which you will receive full training as part of our offering. You will be expected to keep up to date on Quilter products and propositional developments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
