Web Accessibility Specialist (UX)

Remote (UK) | Initial 4-Month Contract | £37-£39 per Hour | 40 Hours Per Week | INSIDE IR35

About the Opportunity

We're supporting a leading global digital organisation in the search for an experienced Web Accessibility Specialist to join their established Accessibility Centre of Excellence.

This is a hands-on contract role focused on validating accessibility improvements across a portfolio of web products and applications. You'll work closely with product, design, development and testing teams to ensure accessibility fixes genuinely improve the experience for users with disabilities and meet WCAG standards.

If you're passionate about digital inclusion, accessibility testing and creating better online experiences for all users, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Web Accessibility Specialist, you'll be responsible for reviewing accessibility issues, validating remediation work and providing expert guidance on accessibility compliance and usability.

You will:

  • Validate accessibility fixes against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 requirements
  • Carry out manual accessibility testing across websites and web applications
  • Test user journeys using assistive technologies, including screen readers
  • Assess keyboard navigation, focus states, forms, headings, error handling and responsive behaviours
  • Use tools such as Axe, WAVE and browser accessibility inspectors to support testing activities
  • Document findings clearly, highlighting user impact and recommended actions
  • Identify incomplete fixes or new accessibility issues introduced during remediation
  • Provide practical feedback to developers, designers and product teams
  • Support accessibility audits where required
  • Contribute towards maintaining accessibility compliance documentation and reporting

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
