About the role
The Web & CRM Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting player acquisition and engagement through owned Team17 channels (e.g. web & email). They collaborate with the wider Brand, Community, Creator, Creative and Performance teams to deliver integrated campaign beats and support Go-To-Market strategies for our games.
Day to day, the role takes hands-on ownership of Team17 web, email and database activities so experience and skills within a web, CMS, and email marketing environment is essential.
Role Responsibilities
- Websites / Web pages – Lead web planning and execution, including web updates, managing the CMS and UX optimisation, to ensure key title beats are maximised and content is on-brand.
- Email - Lead email marketing activity, including strategy, campaign planning, creative, segmentation, execution, optimisation and reporting.
- CRM - Manage and optimise CRM workflows to enhance player lifecycle engagement and retention.
- Planning - Define and deliver digital marketing campaigns across our own channels in-line with title objectives, target audiences, and budgets
- Launch set-up and execution – Ensure precise set-up through hands-on management and checking of campaigns delivered through our channels/ or via our partners.
- Optimisation – Partner with the Performance team to share learnings across our channels and optimisation campaigns / web pages/ creative accordingly.
- Reporting & Insights – Channel KPIs into actionable insights and recommendations to improve marketing ROI.
- Creative - Provide clear and timely creative briefs that incorporate best-practice.
- Legal & Data Compliance – Partner with Legal and relevant teams to ensure database management, tracking, cookies, CRM and other activity meets GDPR and data privacy regulations.

Technical Skills & Experience
- Hands-on web experience, leading web campaigns and managing the CMS and analytics. Hubspot or similar experience required.
- Email – Extensive email marketing and segmentation experience; preferably using HubSpot and/or Mailchimp.
- CRM - Strong understanding of CRM principles, systems, and customer segmentation strategies.
- Tools - Experience with Hubspot or similar platforms delivering web, CMS, CRM and hosting solutions.
- GA4, Google Tag Manager, event mapping/tagging and digital analytics is a bonus.
- Videogames ecosystem - Passion for video games and understanding of gaming communities is desirable.
- Creative - Understands creative best practice across web and email assets.
- Privacy - Strong understanding of GDPR and digital privacy and compliance requirements across CRM and digital marketing.
