Role Description

The Web Designer will work full time on-site in Wolverhampton, collaborating closely with the team to design and build visually engaging, user-friendly websites. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Refining UI elements
  • Ensuring responsive design across devices and browsers

The role involves working from brand guidelines, integrating graphics and imagery, and translating client requirements into intuitive digital experiences. The Web Designer will contribute to front-end implementation, coordinate with developers where needed, and support ongoing website updates and enhancements. This position also includes participation in client meetings, reviewing feedback, and maintaining consistency across web and other digital design assets.

Qualifications

  • Strong web design skills, including layout, typography, and visual hierarchy for modern websites.
  • Proficiency in graphic design and graphics creation for web interfaces, assets, and marketing materials.
  • Experience with front-end development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) to support design implementation.
  • Ability to design responsive web experiences optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a studio environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to incorporate client and team feedback constructively.
  • Relevant experience in agency or in-house design roles; a portfolio demonstrating web and digital design work is required.
