The Grae Matta Foundation is creating "Real Change" and we are doing that by creating Mental Health Standards & Policy. The task ahead is immense and has never been done before. But with the right team, anything is possible.
What are we looking for?
Experience
- At least five years of web design experience with a portfolio of published work.
- Demonstrable specialist experience designing and delivering WordPress websites, including theme customisation and site maintenance.

Skills And Knowledge
- Strong command of WordPress administration, themes, plugins, the block editor and common site-building workflows.
- Proficiency in responsive design, HTML, CSS and practical JavaScript; familiarity with PHP is an advantage.
- Confident use of design and image-editing software, with a keen eye for detail.
- Working knowledge of accessibility, SEO, site performance and basic website security.
- Ability to explain design choices, incorporate feedback and meet agreed deadlines.
Applicants should be sympathetic to the aims and objectives of Grae Matta Foundation. An understanding of mental health issues, through personal or professional experience, is welcome but not required.

What will you be doing?
- Create website and page designs, prototypes and sample sites, then respond to feedback.
- Build and maintain WordPress sites, themes, templates and reusable page components.
- Configure and assess plugins, troubleshoot compatibility issues and keep sites secure and up to date.
- Use HTML, CSS and JavaScript to refine layouts and interactions where WordPress tools are insufficient.
- Produce responsive, accessible and user-friendly pages, with attention to performance and SEO.
- Edit images and digital assets for web use while maintaining a consistent visual identity.
- Work with the Head of Web Development and the wider team to scope work, review drafts and resolve defects.
