About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Web Designer to join our talented team at Hypercreate Ltd. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring designers to gain hands-on experience in web design and development. As a Trainee Web Designer, you will work closely with senior designers and front-end developers, assisting in the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of client websites. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about digital design who are eager to learn and develop their skills in a fast-paced, creative environment. You will be involved in various stages of web projects, from initial wireframing to final testing, gaining valuable insights into industry best practices and client management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a genuine passion for web design and a strong desire to learn and grow professionally. A basic portfolio or examples of your work—such as personal projects, university assignments, or conceptual designs—are highly desirable. Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or Illustrator will be advantageous. A foundational understanding of user experience (UX) principles and clean user interface (UI) design is important. Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is highly beneficial, as it will be applied in real-world projects. Strong attention to detail, a proactive problem-solving attitude, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the design team in creating wireframes, mockups, and responsive web layouts that align with client requirements and best practices.
  • Update and maintain existing client websites using Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Shopify, or Webflow, ensuring optimal performance and visual consistency.
  • Help prepare and optimize image assets, graphics, and icons for web use, maintaining quality and consistency across projects.
  • Learn and apply basic front-end coding skills, including HTML and CSS, to implement and adapt designs effectively.
  • Conduct cross-browser and Quality Assurance (QA) testing to ensure websites function correctly across various devices and browsers, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Shadow senior team members during client briefings and design reviews to gain insights into project workflows and client communication.
