About The Role
The Shopify Developer role at Pulse IT Recruitment Ltd is an exciting opportunity for mid to senior-level professionals passionate about creating engaging and functional e-commerce websites. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining attractive online stores for a variety of external clients. Collaborating closely with the marketing team, you will contribute to building website themes, marketing content, and user experiences that drive customer engagement and sales. This position offers the chance to work within a dynamic agency environment, where your technical expertise will directly impact client success.
As a Shopify Developer, you will be involved in the entire project lifecycle—from initial concept and design to deployment and ongoing optimization. Your role will also include ensuring website usability, performance, and responsiveness across devices. You will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating your ability to manage priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines. Excellent communication skills are essential, as some client-facing interactions may be required to gather requirements and present solutions effectively.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in web development with specific expertise in Shopify and related technologies. Proven experience working within an agency or client-facing environment is highly desirable. A solid understanding of Liquid, Shopify’s templating language, is essential, along with proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript (preferred). Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms is a plus, demonstrating versatility across different systems. Candidates should demonstrate a portfolio of previous projects that showcase their ability to create compelling, responsive, and user-friendly online stores. A proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Shopify e-commerce websites, ensuring they are visually appealing, functional, and optimized for performance.
- Build and customize Shopify themes and templates to meet client specifications and branding guidelines.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing content, landing pages, and promotional features within Shopify.
- Implement and troubleshoot front-end code using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript to enhance website functionality and user experience.
- Ensure websites are mobile-responsive, accessible, and compatible across various browsers and devices.
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical guidance, and present solutions effectively.
- Maintain documentation of development processes, codebases, and project progress for internal and client reference.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve development workflows and output quality.
- Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and collaborative projects to ensure high standards and knowledge sharing.
