About The Role

We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Web Developer to join our client, an innovative technology organization operating within the travel and mobility sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of scalable, cloud-based applications that support high-volume, user-centric digital experiences across international markets. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from initial design and architecture to deployment and ongoing optimization. The role requires working with modern frameworks and cloud technologies, ensuring the delivery of secure, high-performing applications in an agile environment. This position is based in Brighton, with a flexible working arrangement of four days in the office and one day remote per week.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software or application development. A strong proficiency in C# and ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core is essential. Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js is highly desirable. Candidates should have a solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and performance optimization techniques. Familiarity with SQL Server and exposure to NoSQL databases are required. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS and/or Azure is crucial, along with knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform. A good grasp of Agile development practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong debugging capabilities are necessary for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using.NET technologies, ensuring high performance and security standards.
  • Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions to optimize application functionality and scalability.
  • Develop and manage cloud-native applications leveraging AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
  • Build and integrate RESTful and SOAP APIs with third-party systems to enhance application interoperability.
  • Design, optimize, and manage SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Support the entire software development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and implement continuous improvements to enhance user experience.
