Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated student web developer to join our team for a full-time placement from July 2027 to August 2028. This opportunity is ideally suited to a sandwich course student studying web development, software engineering or another computing related subject who wants to apply their learning in a professional software environment.

  • Build new features primarily in C# using Razor Pages.
  • Support and enhance existing solutions written in ASP.NET and C#.
  • Investigate defects, identify root causes and implement reliable fixes.
  • Write clear, maintainable and well documented code in line with team standards.

  • Work with colleagues and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
  • Contribute ideas that improve usability, performance, reliability and development processes.
  • Use source control effectively to manage code changes and support collaborative development.

What You Should Bring

  • Currently studying towards a degree in web development, software engineering, computer science or another relevant computing subject, ideally with a placement option.
  • A foundation in software development gained through university modules, personal projects or other practical experience.
  • Understanding of core web technologies and how browser-based applications work.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts.
  • A logical approach to problem solving and an interest in diagnosing technical issues.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, proactively manage assigned tasks and seek support when needed.
  • Enthusiasm for learning unfamiliar technologies and contributing to production software.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
