About The Role

The Shopify Developer position at Pulse IT Recruitment Ltd offers an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to the development of engaging and user-friendly e-commerce websites. The role involves working closely with external clients and internal teams to create attractive online stores that are both visually appealing and highly functional. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for building and customizing website themes, implementing marketing content, and ensuring optimal usability across various devices and browsers. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a solid foundation in front-end development and a strong understanding of Shopify platform functionalities. Essential qualifications include proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating language, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript (preferred). Experience with WooCommerce is considered a plus, demonstrating versatility across different e-commerce platforms. Candidates should have a portfolio showcasing previous Shopify projects and a demonstrated ability to develop custom themes and functionalities. A background working within agency environments or on client-facing projects is advantageous, along with excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize Shopify themes to meet client specifications, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
  • Implement and optimize website functionalities using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript as needed.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling marketing content and promotional features on e-commerce sites.
  • Ensure website responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility across devices.
  • Participate in project planning, providing technical guidance and estimating development timelines.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve bugs or usability issues promptly.
  • Maintain and update existing client websites, ensuring security and performance standards are upheld.
  • Assist in client communication, providing technical support and explaining development processes clearly.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices related to Shopify and e-commerce development.
