Help the Seven Dials Trust Future-Proof its Website by Migrating from Joomla to WordPress
We need an experienced volunteer to lead the migration and create a secure, accessible and easy-to-manage site.
What Difference Will You Make?
Our website is an important way for the Seven Dials Trust to share information about the area’s history, heritage and our work with residents, visitors, researchers and the wider public. However, our current Joomla website is becoming increasingly difficult for us to maintain and update.
Moving to WordPress will give us a more flexible and widely supported platform, reducing our reliance on specialist technical knowledge and making it easier to keep the website secure, accessible and up to date in the years ahead.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone with good practical experience of WordPress and Joomla, ideally with experience of migrating an existing website from one platform to another.
Most importantly, we need someone who can help us create a website that is sustainable and easy for the Trust and future volunteers to manage. An interest in heritage, community organisations or local history would be welcome, but is not essential.
