About The Role

The Shopify Developer (Mid & Senior) role at Pulse IT Recruitment Ltd involves designing and developing engaging, high-quality e-commerce websites tailored to our clients' needs. The successful candidate will work closely with our marketing and development teams to create compelling website experiences, themes, and marketing content using Shopify platform capabilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, ensuring that each website is optimized for usability, aesthetics, and performance.

As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing clients' websites, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience. The role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a fast-paced environment. Previous experience working within an agency setting is advantageous, as it equips you with the skills to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

This role may involve client-facing interactions, requiring excellent communication skills to understand client requirements and provide technical guidance. You will have the opportunity to work on projects from conception through to deployment, contributing to the overall success of marketing campaigns and online storefronts.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Shopify Developer, with a strong portfolio of e-commerce websites.
  • Proficiency in Shopify (including Liquid templating language), JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with TypeScript is a plus.
  • Knowledge of WooCommerce is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of web design principles, UI/UX best practices, and responsive design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and with clients.
  • Experience working within an agency environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify e-commerce websites to meet client specifications.
  • Create and implement website themes, templates, and marketing content aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop engaging online shopping experiences.
  • Ensure website functionality, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Optimize website performance and loading times to improve user experience and SEO.
  • Implement new features and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Participate in project planning, providing technical insights and estimations.
  • Maintain documentation related to website development processes and configurations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in e-commerce development and web technologies.
