About The Role
The Shopify Developer (Mid & Senior) role at Pulse IT Recruitment Ltd offers an exciting opportunity for experienced developers to craft visually appealing and highly functional e-commerce websites for a diverse range of clients. This position involves close collaboration with the marketing team to develop engaging website themes and marketing content using Shopify. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, particularly within the Shopify environment, and will be responsible for ensuring the usability, aesthetic appeal, and performance of client websites.
As part of the development team, you will be entrusted with managing website content, optimizing user experience, and implementing innovative solutions to meet client objectives. The role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience working within an agency environment is advantageous, as it prepares you to handle multiple projects simultaneously, from conception through to delivery. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in web development with specific experience in Shopify and related technologies. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for highly experienced candidates. Proven experience working with Shopify, including Liquid templating language, is essential. Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript (preferably) is required to build responsive and engaging websites. Experience with WooCommerce is considered a plus, providing additional versatility in e-commerce platform expertise. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize Shopify themes and templates to meet client specifications.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling website content and marketing campaigns.
- Implement and optimize website functionalities using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
- Ensure the responsiveness, usability, and performance of e-commerce websites across various devices and browsers.
- Manage and update website content, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Participate in project planning, providing technical input and estimations.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
