Location: Orsett Contract: Level 3 Apprenticeship Hours: 8.30am to 5pm Benefits: Discretionary bonus, life Assurance (x4 salary), generous pension, best practice awards / vouchers, employee assistance programme, an array of perks via Salary Extras, 31 days annual leave (inc bank holidays)

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Web Development Apprentice to join our team at our Head Office in Orsett. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in software development, working closely with an experienced senior developer on real-world business systems.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting in the development of internal web applications and automation tools
  • Supporting the maintenance and enhancement of existing systems
  • Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Learning to design, build, and consume APIs and web services
  • Working with version control and development pipelines
  • Collaborating with wider IT and business teams to deliver practical solutions

What you’ll learn and work with

Languages & frameworks: C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, LINQ
Technologies: APIs, Web Services, JSON, Workflow systems
Tools: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Azure DevOps, Git

What we’re looking for

  • A genuine interest in software/web development
  • Basic understanding of programming or web technologies (through study, personal projects, or coursework)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and take feedback
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Exposure to any of the technologies listed above
  • Experience with Git or version control
  • Any personal or academic coding projects
