Web Development Manager | Chester | Hybrid |.NET

KDR are working with an established, customer-focused business looking for a Web Development Manager to take ownership of their web development function.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical leadership with the commercial side of technology, working closely with teams across the business to improve their digital platforms and customer experience.

You'll lead a small team of developers, taking ownership of the web development roadmap and working directly with Marketing, Product and other stakeholders to understand what the business needs and how technology can help deliver it.

They need someone who can bring their own ideas to the table, challenge requirements where necessary and help shape the direction of the platforms rather than simply delivering whatever comes through the door.

What you'll do

Lead & Develop the Team

  • Manage and support a team of Web Developers, providing technical direction, improving engineering standards and helping the team deliver consistently.

Own the Web Development Roadmap

  • Take responsibility for planning, prioritising and delivering web development projects, balancing technical requirements with commercial priorities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
