Position Description:

We are seeking a Web Platform Engineer to own the technical health of our website. This person will make sure our site is fast, secure, stable, measurable, healthy, and always on, so that our Front-End Designer & Developer can stay focused on how it looks and converts. This position will own the WordPress platform end to end: hosting and environments, plugin architecture and updates, security and backups, performance and uptime, technical SEO, and the tracking and integration layer that connects our website to HubSpot and the rest of the marketing stack.

Our Web Platform Engineer will be the technical authority on the website inside a marketing organization that moves quickly, and have the autonomy to build the standards, environments, and documentation to keep the site healthy and safe. If you like owning a platform, catching problems before anyone else notices, and maintaining functional documentation, this role was made for you.

NOTE: To be considered for the position, applicants must share work samples that demonstrate technical judgment. Examples include documentation authored, a site you own end to end, or a written walkthrough of a technical problem you diagnosed and solved.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
