Job Description
Help people feel good investing.
At AJ Bell, we believe investing should feel good. And that starts with great customer service.
When customers get in touch, they want to feel listened to, supported, and confident that they're in good hands. As part of our Customer Support team, you'll play an important role in making that happen, helping customers get the answers they need and making their experience with AJ Bell a positive one.
We're looking for people who enjoy helping others, communicate with care, and take pride in delivering great service. Whether your experience comes from retail, hospitality, administration, or another customer-facing role, we'd love to hear from you.
You don't need previous financial services experience. We'll give you the training, support, and knowledge you need to build your confidence and succeed.
With our business continuing to grow, we have multiple opportunities to join the team, with new starters joining every three weeks.
What does the job involve?
Our webchat support agents are the first point of contact for AJ Bell and Dodl customers, helping to answer questions and resolve queries across our award-winning product range.
You’ll handle webchats, inbound calls, respond to emails, and use a secure messaging system, ensuring all interactions are managed in line with service level agreements and compliance policies.
It's a fast-paced environment where no two customer conversations are quite the same. You'll have the support of your colleagues and managers as you develop your skills and grow in confidence.
Knowledge & Experience
You don't need to arrive with all the answers. What matters most is your attitude, your willingness to learn, and your genuine desire to help people.
You will have:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs grades 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent, including Maths and English.
- Excellent customer service skills with a polite and professional telephone manner.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Patience and empathy when supporting customers who may need extra help.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
