What difference will you make?

As our volunteer website developer and manager, you will play a vital role in rebuilding our website to be fit for purpose in guiding and supporting the organisation's mission to empower older workers and combat age discrimination in the workplace. We are looking for individuals with expertise in relevant technology and social media for the charity.


Volunteer Responsibilities

Technology & Social Media Focus

  • Utilise your expertise in technology and social media platforms to enhance WiseAge's online presence and engagement.
  • Advise on digital strategies to reach and connect with our target audience effectively.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within our online operation.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop engaging content for various digital channels.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of digital initiatives, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Time Commitment

Approximately 12 – 20 hours per month, working from home and maintaining contact with other members of the team and management by phone, online, or Zoom plus initial meetings for induction, training, and management support.


What are we looking for?

  • A strong commitment to the mission and values of WiseAge, including commitment to helping older people and promoting age diversity.
  • Relevant experience and expertise in technology, in particular website building, management, and design.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically, with a problem-solving mindset.
