Whitehall Resources currently require an experienced webMethods Developer to work with a key client
Please note this role falls INSIDE IR35 and requires SC Clearance
Overview:
Working within an agile integration delivery team developing and supporting a mission critical platform for the UK MOD, with instances hosted on a cloud platform (Azure). You are to be the developer leading the ongoing development and support of the integration platform, including designing, developing, integrating and unit testing new features in response to Product Owner / Client priorities and fixing bugs/issues raised on the Live application.
You will have experience working with/developing webMethods products, like Integration Server, API Gateway, Universal Messaging, Designer, Swagger/OpenAPI. You will be comfortable using the supporting tools for Agile product delivery such as JIRA (User Story / Defect / Task Management), Confluence (Documentation / Comms).

Key Responsibilities
- Development of rest and soap services using designer.
- Development of Universal Messaging packages using designer
- Configure and maintain an API Gateways using the delivered services.
- Advise on integration patterns to help the client make best practice decisions.
- Identify and resolve bugs and refinements to the existing integrations services.
- Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with platform security posture.
- Collaborate with UX, QA, and DevSecOps teams to deliver accessible, performant, and maintainable Integrations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot applications
- Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and maintain documentation in Confluence.

Essential Technical Skills
Languages & Frameworks
- webMethods flow services 10.15 or above
- Integration Service, 10.15 or above
- JMS messaging like Universal Messaging
- API Gateway 10.15 or above
- Connectors AWS S3 file transfer
- SQL – Oracle, MSSQL or MySQL
- Elastic or Open search
Infrastructure & Cloud
- Azure
- Kubernetes fundamentals (pods, services, ingress, Istio, Traefik).
- Containerization with Docker/containerd.
Collaboration Tools
- Jira, Confluence, Teams.
