ABOUT US
Transforming lives through excellent education
London Met is an extraordinary institution. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it's what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and also for its historical role in serving some of London’s most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education.
Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world.
ABOUT THE POST
We are looking for a Website and Digital Manager to lead the strategic development and performance of our corporate website (londonmet.ac.uk) and wider digital presence. This role sits within our Marketing and Communications team and plays a key part in helping us attract and engage prospective students.
You will be responsible for ensuring our website delivers an excellent user experience, drives engagement and supports student recruitment. Working closely with colleagues across Marketing and the wider University, you will help bring our brand to life online through high-quality, user-focused digital content.
In this role you will lead a small team and coordinate a network of contributors across the organisation. You will oversee the strategic development of the website, ensuring it remains up to date, effective and aligned with our wider goals. You will also play an important role in major recruitment campaigns, working with colleagues to deliver impactful digital activity throughout the year.
A key part of the role is using data and insights to drive improvements. You will monitor website performance; identify opportunities to optimise content and user journeys; and report on results to less technical stakeholders. You will also lead on search engine optimisation (SEO) to increase visibility and organic traffic.
You will act as the main point of contact for website support, helping colleagues publish effective content and providing guidance on best practice. This includes delivering training, maintaining governance standards, and ensuring all content meets requirements around accessibility, data protection, and quality.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
