Bancroft Group

We are launching Group, a UK land and property development business, and are looking for an experienced web designer/developer to build a simple, high-quality professional website.

This is not a complicated website or web application. Its purpose is to provide a strong, credible online presence for Bancroft Group. We will primarily be approaching landowners directly regarding land and property with development potential. When someone receives correspondence from Bancroft Group and looks us up online, we want them to find a professional website that immediately gives them confidence in the business.

The website should feel established, credible, understated and trustworthy — closer to a respected UK property/development company or professional practice than a startup, estate agent or construction company.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We will provide the complete branding and all written content/copy for the website. You will not be required to create the brand identity, logo, messaging or website copy. Your role is to take the supplied branding and content and turn it into a polished, professional website.

We envisage approximately 4–6 pages, likely including:

  • Home
  • About
  • Landowners
  • What We Look For
  • Our Approach
  • Contact

The website only requires a straightforward contact/enquiry form. We do not require customer accounts, a portal, payments, complex integrations, analytics work or bespoke software.

The finished website should be:

  • Professionally designed using our supplied brand identity
  • Built using our supplied written content
  • Clean, understated and credible
  • Fully mobile responsive
  • Fast and simple to navigate
  • Easy for us to update
  • Deployed to our domain/hosting
  • Fully owned by Bancroft Group on completion

We are open to WordPress, Webflow or another sensible platform. We are more interested in the quality of the finished design and execution than a particular technology.

When applying, please provide:

  • 3–5 examples of your most relevant website work, ideally property, development, architecture, surveying or professional services.
  • Your proposed fixed fee.
  • Your expected turnaround time.
  • The platform you recommend and why.

Please start your proposal with “Bancroft Group” so I know you have read the brief. The brief is deliberately simple: we supply the branding and content; you design and build an excellent professional website around it. Simple, established and credible is the objective — not flashy.
