Become a Website Experience Manager
We're looking for a Website Experience Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract to provide leadership, support and direction for our website function during an exciting period of change. As our website is non-transactional, you’ll help grow our online brand appeal, using the website as a powerful shop window to inspire store visits, deepen engagement with existing customers and attract new audiences to The Works. You’ll lead a small web team with clarity, confidence and direction, helping colleagues navigate change while creating the conditions for them to grow their potential. You’ll lead the delivery of our website re-platform project, strengthen the foundations of how we manage and develop our website, and build the capability, governance and ways of working needed for long-term success. Working across Brand, Creative, Technology and external partners, you’ll keep key milestones on track while supporting the transition to a future operating model and embedding sustainable processes for the wider Brand Marketing team.
Your Mission
- Provide stability, leadership and direction for the website team during a period of transformation, building clarity, confidence and capability.
- Lead the Brand workstream of the website re-platform project, working closely with Technology and external partners to keep milestones, dependencies and risks proactively managed.
- Define and embed robust website governance, processes and ways of working that support long-term ownership and consistency.
- Establish a sustainable approach to content management, SEO, UX and website optimisation.
- Maximise the website’s role as a non-transactional brand and inspiration platform, bringing our brand and ranges to life, supporting customer discovery and encouraging store visits.
- Use insight and performance data to identify opportunities to improve customer engagement and website effectiveness.
- Build capability within the team and wider Brand Marketing function, embedding best practice, knowledge sharing and confidence in new ways of working.
- Develop a clear future operating model for the website function, including responsibilities, workflows, governance and ongoing support needs.
- Create clear roadmaps, documentation and processes that enable long-term success and help inform future digital investment opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
