The IXL Events Centre is a prestigious conference and wedding venue set within a 600-acre estate in the Warwickshire countryside, located on the grounds of Dallas Burston Polo Club. The award-winning venue offers stylish facilities for sporting, social, and business events. As host to high-profile polo tournaments, luxury weddings, corporate functions, live music, and entertainment, it is recognized as Warwickshire’s premier events destination. Role Description

This full-time Wedding and Event Sales role is an on-site position based in Solihull. The role involves responding to enquiries, conducting venue show rounds, and managing the sales process from initial contact through to booking confirmation. Daily tasks include preparing and sending proposals, building tailored event packages, maintaining accurate records in the venue’s booking systems, and coordinating with the operations and planning teams to ensure a seamless handover. The role also includes nurturing client relationships, following up on leads, meeting sales targets, and supporting marketing initiatives such as attending open days and promotional events. The successful candidate will represent the venue professionally at all times, providing clear information and exceptional service to prospective and confirmed clients.

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and deliver a high-quality client experience throughout the sales journey.
  • Event management and event planning skills, including understanding of venue operations and the coordination of weddings and special events.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to handle enquiries, conduct show rounds, and prepare clear proposals.
  • Proven sales skills, including lead follow-up, negotiation, closing bookings, and working towards measurable targets.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, events, or venue sales is highly beneficial.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and booking or CRM systems.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, and peak event periods as required.
