The Wedding Coordinator
The Wedding Coordinator is a full-time 40-hour on-site role based at Woodlands Hotel Leeds. This role is responsible for managing weddings and civil ceremonies from initial enquiry through to the event day, including conducting showrounds, discussing packages, and preparing detailed event plans.

Day-to-Day Tasks

- Liaising with couples
- Confirming requirements
- Coordinating with hotel departments and external suppliers
- Ensuring timelines, room setups, and catering arrangements are accurately delivered
- Overseeing events on the day
- Supporting guests and the wedding party
- Troubleshooting issues
- Ensuring each wedding runs smoothly according to agreed standards
- Maintaining accurate records
- Responding promptly to inquiries
- Contributing to sales and marketing activities related to wedding bookings
Qualifications
- Strong Wedding Planning and Event Planning skills, with experience coordinating multiple events or functions.
- Proficient Event Management capabilities, including scheduling, logistics coordination, and on-the-day oversight.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage expectations professionally.
- Previous experience in hospitality, events, or wedding venues is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, in line with event schedules.
- Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines under pressure.
- Comfortable using booking systems, email, and office software to manage event information and correspondence.
- Relevant qualifications in events, hospitality, or a related field are an advantage but not essential.
