Location: Knebworth House and Barns (on-site)
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Shifts: 9am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekends when there are weddings.
Working at the stunning and historic Knebworth House and Barns, you will play a key role in creating memorable weddings and events for our customers. As a Wedding & Events Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our wedding operation, managing the customer journey from initial enquiry through to the big day. We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for weddings, exceptional customer service and delivering outstanding events, whilst also having the commercial drive to convert enquiries, maximise revenue and grow our wedding business.
You’ll be working as part of a small, collaborative team, taking ownership of the wedding segment and working closely with our sales, catering and operations teams to ensure every couple receives a seamless and memorable experience.

Responsibilities
- Managing wedding enquiries from initial contact through to confirmed booking, including producing proposals, following up leads and conducting venue show rounds.
- Building strong relationships with couples throughout their planning journey and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Achieving agreed sales targets through enquiry conversion, upselling and identifying additional revenue opportunities.
- Acting as the main point of contact for weddings at Knebworth House and Barns, ensuring all client requirements are accurately captured and communicated.
- Producing accurate event orders/function sheets (BEOs) and working closely with the operations team to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Maintaining accurate client records, bookings and sales information across systems including Delphi.
- Managing the wedding sales tracker, providing regular reporting and supporting the wider Conference & Events sales strategy.
- Planning and attending wedding showcases, open days, wedding fairs and industry events to promote the venue and generate new business.
- Supporting wedding marketing and taking ownership of relevant social media content across Instagram and Facebook.
- Building relationships with local wedding suppliers and keeping up to date with market trends and competitor activity.
- Raising and tracking invoices, following up payments and carrying out post-event follow-ups to gather feedback and encourage referrals.
- Working collaboratively with the wider team and demonstrating a proactive “can do” attitude to support the successful delivery of events.

The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 2 years' experience within wedding sales, event planning or the hospitality sector, ideally within a high-profile or heritage venue.
- Experience with social media marketing and digital content creation.
- Previous experience using CRM or event management systems (knowledge of Delphi or Salesforce would be advantageous.)
- Proven experience of achieving sales targets and converting enquiries into confirmed event business.
- Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of the relationship between sales, conversion, upselling and revenue.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence communicating with clients and colleagues.
- Incredibly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Warm, engaging and confident when dealing with customers in person, over the phone and online.
- A genuine passion for weddings, events, people and delivering exceptional experiences.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to instil confidence in clients throughout the planning process.
- A creative thinker with an eye for storytelling, content and current wedding trends.
- A proactive, self-motivated and action-oriented approach.
- A positive team player who is adaptable, resilient and happy to support colleagues wherever needed.
- Comfortable working occasional evenings and weekends around weddings and key event moments.
