Animal Nursing Assistant
We are seeking an Animal Nursing Assistant to join our Teesside team, working every other weekend on a 6-month contract.
This part-time role is ideal for someone with a passion for animal care who is seeking flexible weekend work and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Role Overview
As an Animal Nursing Assistant working weekends, you'll play a crucial role in supporting emergency cases and ensuring the well-being of inpatients and pets using our A+E service. You'll assist the veterinary team by providing essential hands-on care, feeding, walking, and caring for the inpatients. Support the nursing team with tasks such as laboratory work and prepping of theatre areas. You will also be required to carry out reception work, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the clinic.

About You
- Compassionate and caring, with a passion for animal welfare
- Attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Ability to prioritize tasks to manage workload according to the needs of the service
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience in a veterinary environment is advantageous but not necessary
Job Particulars
- Shift times: 09:00 - 19:00 hrs (30 minute unpaid lunch)
- Average hours: 9.5 hrs a week
- Rota: Every other Saturday and Sunday (share of bank holidays)
- Salary: £12.71 PH
- Holidays: 5.6 weeks (including Bank Holidays)
- Contract: Fixed Term for 6 months
