Company Description

At Home Instead Basildon, we believe that care is about more than completing tasks, it's about people, relationships and making a difference. We provide high-quality, person-centred care and companionship to older people in their own homes, helping them remain independent, safe and happy in familiar surroundings.

Our Care Professionals are welcomed into people's homes as guests and trusted members of their support network. We believe in treating every person with dignity, respect, kindness and compassion.

Our visits are a minimum of one hour, giving our Care Professionals the time to build genuine relationships and provide care without feeling rushed.

Companionship is at the heart of what we do.

You don't need previous care experience to join us. We can teach you the skills, what matters most is that you have a genuinely caring personality and the desire to make a difference.

Job Description

We are looking for a Weekend Care Professional to join our Home Instead Basildon team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for regular weekend work who enjoys helping others and wants to make a genuine difference to people's lives.

Clear and reliable weekend availability is essential for this role.

As a Weekend Care Professional, you could support clients with:

  • Companionship and conversation
  • Personal care
  • Meal preparation
  • Light household duties
  • Medication support, in line with training and care plans
  • Supporting clients with their daily routines
  • Helping clients maintain their independence
  • Accompanying clients to appointments, shopping or social activities
  • Providing reassurance and emotional support
  • Reporting any changes or concerns to the Home Instead team

Qualifications

No formal care qualifications or previous care experience are required.

Full training and induction will be provided.

A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle is desirable due to the community-based nature of the role.

Weekend Availability

This is a weekend-focused position. Applicants must have clear and reliable availability to work Saturdays and Sundays.

We are particularly interested in people looking for regular weekend work who can commit to their agreed availability.
