Job Opportunity: Weekend HGV Class 1 Drivers
Pure Staff's Driving Team are recruiting experienced Weekend HGV Class 1 Drivers for one of our long-standing customers based in Hereford. Whether you're looking to boost your weekly income, work around another job or simply enjoy driving at weekends, this is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's largest privately owned logistics businesses. With regular Saturday and Sunday shifts, flexible working patterns and immediate starts available, we'll work with you to build a weekend schedule that suits your lifestyle.
Pay Rates
- Saturday and Sunday (Days) - £21.50ph (+ holiday accrued) or £24.10ph (Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)
- Saturday and Sunday (Nights) - £24.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £26.90ph (Rolled-Up Holiday Pay)

The Role
As a Weekend HGV Class 1 Driver in Hereford, you'll be transporting palletised goods using modern articulated vehicles across nationwide distribution routes. Typical work includes:
- 1 to 3 deliveries or collections per shift
- Average shift lengths of 8-10 hours (occasional 12-hour shifts)
- Modern, well-maintained fleet
- Nationwide distribution work
- Consistent weekend work with regular bookings
- Excellent opportunity to secure reliable long-term weekend work

What You'll Need
To be successful as a Weekend HGV Class 1 Driver in Hereford, you'll need:
- UK Category C+E Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach
- Good understanding of Driver Hours, Working Time Regulations and vehicle safety checks
- Previous palletised distribution or general haulage experience is beneficial but not essential
