The Opportunity
We're looking for a Lead Technician to support our Packaging operation at Bellshill, helping to drive performance, reliability, and continuous improvement across our production site. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineering or maintenance professional who enjoys leading from the front, developing people, and delivering operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinating shift activities to maximise team performance and resource utilisation
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in compliance with company and legislative requirements
- Managing contractors effectively and in line with company procedures
- Taking ownership of planned and corrective maintenance schedules for production lines and site services
- Driving equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with Bottling Team Leaders and operational teams to support production performance
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and maintenance support functions
- Reviewing maintenance activities within IFS to eliminate non-value-adding tasks and improve efficiency
- Supporting the identification of skills gaps and contributing to technician training and development plans
- Assisting with new product introductions, trials, capital projects and line improvement activities
- Producing technical reports, recommendations and improvement plans based on operational data and findings
- Championing an inclusive culture where diverse perspectives and ideas are valued

About You
- Previous experience in a maintenance, engineering or technician role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading, coordinating or coaching technical teams
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities
- Knowledge of planned and preventative maintenance practices
- Experience working with maintenance management systems such as IFS or similar
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on performance and reliability
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to prioritise workloads and coordinate multiple activities effectively
- A commitment to health, safety and environmental standards

Hours of work
- 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on a Friday
- 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on a Saturday and Sunday
- 6.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon on a Monday with a 30-minute break each day.
