- Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- 5:30am - 6:30pm
Salary
- £40,000.00 + 25% shift allowance (totalling £50,000.00) + bonus

About the Role
We're launching a new weekend shift and are looking for a Manufacturing Shift Manager to join our leadership team. This role offers an excellent work-life balance, with Monday to Thursday free every week.
You'll be responsible for leading a manufacturing team to achieve safety, quality and delivery objectives, ensuring efficient operations, effective resource planning and a high-performing team environment.
What we're looking for:
- Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams of 15-25 operatives
- Strong coaching, communication and organisational skills
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience building positive relationships across multiple functions
- Proactive, collaborative and results-driven approach
- ILM Level 5 qualification (or working towards) desirable

Key Responsibilities
- Promote a strong health, safety and compliance culture
- Ensure products are manufactured to specification and quality standards
- Deliver production plans and performance targets
- Drive operational excellence through 5S, Kaizen and process improvements
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues using root cause analysis
- Ensure materials, skills and resources are available to support production schedules
- Optimise labour deployment to maximise efficiency and output
- Escalate and address issues affecting operational performance
- Lead team development through training, one-to-ones and performance reviews
- Create a positive, accountable and engaged working environment
- Coordinate effectively with Engineering, Quality, Planning and HR teams
- Manage shift handovers and communicate priorities, progress and challenges
Onboarding
To support your onboarding, you'll complete an initial Monday to Friday training period. Training can be tailored to suit your experience and circumstances, with the following shift options available:

- Lates: 1:45pm-10:15pm Mon-Thu, 10:45am-4:15pm Fri
- Days: 8:30am-5:00pm Mon-Thu, 8:30am-4:30pm Fri
- Nights: 10:00pm-5:45am Mon-Thu, 4:00pm-8:50pm Fri
