Job Title

Weekend Porter/Security

Location: UK-Swansea

Overview

  • Hours: 24 hours per week
  • Salary: £16,785.60 per annum
  • Location: Central Swansea

Working at a prestigious private residential development, you will be working alternating shifts of night and day covering weekends. This is a standalone role answering to the building manager. You are the first point of contact for 291 residential apartments and 8 commercial units onsite. You will ensure all onsite facilities are maintained in excellent working order and all shift duties are completed. You must be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and be able to communicate confidently and calmly.

Shift 1: Days

  • Saturday 0800hrs – 2000hrs
  • Sunday 0800hrs – 2000hrs

Shift 2: Nights

  • Saturday 2000hrs – 0800hrs Sunday
  • Sunday 2000hrs – 0800hrs Monday

Although only 24 hours per week, there are many opportunities for overtime when covering staff holidays and sickness.

Responsibilities

You will also:

Front of house/reception

  • Welcome all residents and guests in a kind and friendly manner.
  • Respond to enquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Assist residents in any general queries they may have.
  • Record any incidents or complaints in the shift log book.

Security

  • Undertake security patrols.
  • Undertake CCTV monitoring.
  • Respond to Fire Alarm activations.
  • Carry out Fire patrols, ensuring all internal corridors are clear of obstructions.
  • Respond to any safety hazards to ensure these are minimized.
  • Ensure that the site is staffed at all times during the shift.

Facilities

  • Maintain correct and accurate records of all site checks.
  • Carry out Fire patrols, ensuring all internal corridors are clear of obstructions.
  • Ensuring all bin stores are clean and tidy throughout the shift.
  • Monitor and report repairs and replacements required.
  • Carry out visual inspections of mechanical equipment.
  • Light cleaning duties to reception and lift areas and emptying of compactor bin.

  • Ad hoc duties as and when required by Site Manager.

Salary: GBP £16,785.60/Hr. (Min and Max)
