Job Type: Part-time, paid hourly

Hours: 16 hours per weekend (Saturday 9.45-6.15pm, Sunday 9.45-5.15pm), 7 weekend days per month plus Bank holidays.

Pay: Gross pay of £15 per hour or more depending on experience

Location: We are recruiting for separate positions in our showrooms in Chiswick, Battersea, and North London.


Job Description

We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic weekend Showroom Assistants to join our expanding bed and mattress retail business, Button & Sprung. We currently have two showrooms in London - one at 76 Queenstown Road, Battersea, which is also our main office, a second at Chiswick Studios, and soon, a third in North London.

We sell quality, made-to-order beds and mattresses. Our mission is to Make Bed Buying Better - in other words, provide the best experience of buying a high quality, reasonably priced bed and mattress in the UK.

If so, we are looking for people to join our team, as Weekend Showroom Assistant, who will be an expert in service, product knowledge, and sales. The ideal candidate will enjoy the retail environment and thrive on ensuring that our customers have a great experience of Button & Sprung.

We are not looking for pushy salespeople - we want people to engage with our customers and help them, not sell to them. The role is not commissioned, but we will pay discretionary bonuses depending on the company’s and personal performance.

Your Job Role and Responsibilities

  • be knowledgeable about beds and mattresses, as well as the details of the products and services that we offer
  • assist customers in the showroom and over the telephone with their bed, fabric, and mattress enquiries
  • provide an exceptional, friendly service
  • deal with customers' orders, queries, and quotes face-to-face and over the phone
  • maintain fabric sample stock and refreshments
  • maintain high showroom standards
  • be comfortable in searching and maintaining our computer systems and applications
