About The Role
As a Student Experience Team Member (Weekends Only) in Newcastle upon Tyne, you will support a welcoming, secure setting for learners. Working Saturdays and Sundays, you will partner with housekeeping and facilities colleagues to uphold cleanliness and safety standards. Your focus is on delivering friendly service, building rapport with students, and guiding them towards suitable assistance. You will address feedback efficiently, resolving concerns or escalating matters as required. This part-time, temporary role pays £13.58 per hour. Prior experience in customer service is beneficial, though a positive, approachable manner is essential. You will represent the organisation positively, applying a CARE-based approach to enhance each student's time on site.

Job role: Student Experience Team Member
Location: Newcastle
Contract: Temporary ongoing
Hourly rate: £13.58
Shift pattern: Saturdays and Sundays
The student experience team works closely with peers in housekeeping, facilities and, where applicable, caretakers to deliver a safe, clean and inclusive environment for everybody to enjoy and succeed; and to achieve expected performance outcomes.
Duties Include
- Be a positive brand ambassador, delivering excellent customer service.
- Provide CARE (Connect, Act, Respect, Encourage) to create a great student experience.
- Build relationships with students, listen to their needs, and direct them to appropriate support.
- Respond promptly to student feedback, resolve issues, or escalate when necessary.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and ways of working.
- Support sales by handling enquiries, conducting in-person and virtual viewings, and promoting accommodation at events.
- Maintain a safe environment and follow health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Help Resident Ambassadors build an engaging student community through events.
- Keep the property clean, tidy, and well maintained.
- Manage post and parcels accurately according to procedures.
- Support sustainability initiatives and contribute to environmental goals.
