Weighbridge Operator

Hourly Rate – £13.18
Hours – 40 hours per week
Location & Postcode – Normandy Wharf, Dockside Road, TS3 8AT

As a Weighbridge Operator at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for:

  • Accurately weighing all incoming and outgoing loads
  • Ensuring the correct documentation is completed
  • Controlling traffic movements across the site
  • Providing administrative support
  • Maintaining communication with site personnel
  • Ensuring compliance with waste management regulations and company procedures

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working Tuesday to Friday 7.00 – 17.00.

What will you be doing?

  • Controlling all traffic movements entering and leaving the site
  • Accurately weighing incoming and outgoing loads and ensuring all information is correctly recorded
  • Checking waste carrier licences and relevant permits
  • Ensuring waste transfer notes and hazardous waste documentation are completed correctly
  • Reporting non-conforming loads or discrepancies to site management
  • Filing and processing paperwork in line with company procedures
  • Completing reception duties and welcoming visitors to site
  • Producing daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Ensuring all visitors and contractors are inducted and signed in and out of the site
  • Maintaining communication with plant operators and site management

What are we looking for?

  • Previous weighbridge or administrative experience is desirable
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and site-based systems
  • Knowledge of waste management regulations would be advantageous
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
  • A strong focus on safety, compliance and accountability
