TIG / MIG Welder Fabricator - Halstead - Day Shift - Full Time - Competitive Pay £16 p/h

We are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG / MIG Welder Fabricator to join a well-established UK manufacturing business. The company specialises in the design and manufacture of high-performance air intake systems, water droplet separators and mist eliminators, supplying products into sectors including marine, offshore, defence, power generation and heavy industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TIG / MIG Welder Fabricator looking to join a skilled production team, working on specialist products and bespoke manufacturing projects.

About The Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the manufacture, fitting and TIG welding of aluminium and stainless-steel components. You will work from engineering drawings and use jigs and fixtures to produce accurate, high-quality fabrications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welding & Fabrication Bias
  • TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel
  • Carrying out butt and fillet welds
  • Fabricating and assembling components from engineering drawings
  • Working accurately to precise specifications
  • Using jigs and fixtures during manufacturing
  • Carrying out self-inspection and quality checks
  • Supporting welding and fabrication process improvements
  • Working independently and as part of a wider production team

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as a TIG / MIG Welder Fabricator
  • Strong TIG welding experience with aluminium and stainless steel
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Solid welding or fabrication background
  • Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
  • Strong understanding of health & safety

  • Welding coding or relevant qualifications
  • Experience using jigs and fixtures
