Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Welder role based in Chatham. The Welder will fabricate and assemble metal components for life safety control systems using various welding techniques according to technical drawings and specifications. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Meeting production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong welding skills, including Welding, Arc Welding, TIG Welding, and MIG Welding.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Materials, including properties, preparation, and handling of metals used in fabrication.
  • Candidates should possess the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Candidates should possess a solid understanding of workshop safety practices and safe operation of welding and cutting equipment.
  • Candidates should possess good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to perform consistent, high-quality welds.
  • Relevant vocational training, certifications in welding, or equivalent practical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment are beneficial.
