Welder / Fabricator
H-Power is seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator to join its engineering and fabrication team at Dunsfold, Surrey.
You'll play an important role in the fabrication, welding and assembly of specialist mechanical components and structures, supporting the development and manufacture of H-Power's hydrogen production and power generation technology.
This is a varied, hands-on position, working closely with engineers and technicians on bespoke equipment, prototype builds and ongoing product development.
The role would suit an experienced Welder or Fabricator who enjoys precision engineering, takes pride in the quality of their work and wants to contribute to the development of innovative clean energy technology.
Responsibilities Include:
- Welding and fabricating mechanical components and assemblies to engineering drawings and specifications
- Preparing, cutting, fitting and assembling metal components and structures
- Producing high-quality welded assemblies for prototype and production equipment
- Fabricating brackets, frames, supports and bespoke mechanical components
- Supporting prototype builds, engineering development activities and equipment modifications
- Working alongside engineers and technicians to resolve fabrication and assembly challenges
- Inspecting completed work to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance with specifications
- Maintaining welding equipment, tools and a safe, organised working environment
- Identifying opportunities to improve fabrication methods and manufacturing processes
- Following company health, safety and quality procedures

Experience Required:
- Previous TIG welding coding for stainless steel pipework is essential
- Proven experience TIG welding stainless steel pipes and assemblies
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications
- Experience preparing, fitting and welding pipework to high-quality standards
- Strong understanding of weld quality, inspection and safe working practices
- Experience in prototype, process equipment or specialist engineering environments advantageous
