Welder & ADHOC Yard Worker | Reading | Full Time | Monday – Friday, either 6:00 am – 4:00 pm or 7:00 am – 5:00 pm | £13.00 – £13.21 per hour

Our client has an extensive network of over 40 offices and depots across the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe, standing as a forefront market leader in the manufacturing, supply, and installation of various temporary solutions such as fencing, hoarding, barriers, traffic management, ground protection, and builders' plant.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder & ADHOC Yard Worker to join the manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for high-quality welding, fabrication support, and general yard duties, ensuring all work meets strict safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Execute TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, shape, and assemble metal parts
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately complete welding tasks
  • Assist with the assembly of metal structures and components, ensuring proper fit and finish
  • Conduct inspections of welds for quality assurance, adhering to safety regulations and standards
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following health and safety protocols at all times

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven experience in TIG welding
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, precision in welding tasks, and adherence to safety procedures

Desirable

  • Previous experience in assembly work involving metal components
