Welder Fabricator - Braintree, Essex - Day Shift - Full Time - Up to £18p/h
We are currently recruiting for a structural Welder Fabricator to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Braintree. This is a full time, permanent position offering long-term stability, competitive hourly rates, and the opportunity to work on varied, high-quality products. This role would suit an experienced Welder Fabricator who enjoys hands-on fabrication work, working from drawings, and producing work to a high standard.
About The Role
Working within a skilled fabrication and welding team, you will be involved in the manufacturing of structural appliances, typically of large size. The role is workshop-based and will include a mixture of welding and fabrication duties, working primarily with mild steel and other metals, producing components for a range of industrial and commercial applications.

Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding of fabricated components to a high standard
- Fabrication of metal components and assemblies from engineering drawings
- Structural welding background
- Cutting, shaping and assembling steel sections and plate
- Ensuring finished products meet quality and specification requirements
- Carrying out visual inspections and basic quality checks
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
- Working collaboratively with other fabricators and welders within the team

- Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator
- Confident MIG welding skills
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Structural welding background
- Experience fabricating structural and sheet metal components
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Previous workshop-based manufacturing experience
