Welder / Fabricator PM Shift
Salary: £33,207 - £35,350 per annum DOE + 15% Shift Premium
Location: Aylesbury, HP19
Hours:
- Monday - Wednesday: 1:30pm - 11:30pm
- Thursday: 1:30pm - 11:00pm
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Contek Recruitment are representing a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Aylesbury who are looking to recruit an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their Welding team on a permanent late shift.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TIG Welder with a manufacturing background who is confident reading engineering drawings and working to high quality standards.
The Role
As a Welder / Fabricator, you will carry out fabrication and welding work as directed by the Welding Supervisor, working as part of an established production team. The role will involve:
- TIG welding and fabrication within a manufacturing environment
- Working from engineering drawings, primarily Third Angle Projection
- Carrying out production work to the required quality and specification
- Participating in quality control and identifying any defective work
- Carrying out MPI and Dye Pen inspections where required
- Booking jobs and recording information using the company MRP system
- Maintaining welder qualification records and associated documentation
- Working to company health and safety procedures
- Maintaining good housekeeping and 5S standards
- Working efficiently to meet production requirements and deadlines
- Supporting continuous improvement and waste reduction activities

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Minimum 2 years' welding experience within a manufacturing environment
- TIG welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Good problem-solving and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Good computer literacy

Working Hours
The position operates on a permanent late shift:
- Monday - Wednesday: 1:30pm - 11:30pm
- Thursday: 1:30pm - 11:00pm
- 37.5 hours per week
- 15% shift premium
