Welder Fabricator
Permanent
MIG Welder Fabricator experienced in fabricating custom steel components and pipework from dimensionally broken-down drawings, with a focus on precision, quality and structural integrity. Early Friday finish and brand new site to work in.
MIG Welder Fabricator Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate bespoke components including box sections, cubes clips and angled assemblies (typically 90° and 45°)
- Interpret simplified technical drawings provided by supervisors, ensuring accurate dimensional execution
- Perform MIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel pipework
- Assemble and weld complex structures with tight tolerances and clean finishes
- Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to ensure fabrication aligns with project specs
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance, safety, and compliance throughout all stages

MIG Welder Fabricator Skills & Experience
- Proficient in MIG welding techniques for pipework and structural steel
- Skilled in working from component-level drawings and visual breakdowns
- Familiar with power tools: grinders, saws, forming equipment
- Strong understanding of angles, measurements and geometric layouts

Location: Sutton in Ashfield
Hourly Pay: £15.50 (£33,449 for standard 42hours)
Hours: 6.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday (30min paid break & 30min unpaid lunch) and 6.30am to 12:30am Friday with paid 30min break

Tenure: Permanent after 18 weeks initial 'like a probationary' temp to perm period!
